Contessa Brewer on MSNBC: feeling her oats today
There were two women on doing the usual back and forth about Foley the Catheter and Brewer, and I'm paraphrasing but not by much, said that she could interrupt since she was the moderator and pointed to herself with both index fingers sort of like Bush did when he asked a reporter who did not deign to address him as 'Mr. President', and he agggressively said, "Who'ya talkin' to?"

She's been real vocal lately as have some of the other anchor babes. The men are playing it straight though. I can't help but believe that this order's coming from on high. Spicy MSRNC!!!

That being said, now they're going to have a piece on whether statues' nakedness should be covered. This country's going nuts...again.

1. I really like her for a lot of reasons--I have for some time
On one day, when interviewing the producers and the camp runner of JESUS CAMP, she pointed out that she had been raised in a seriously religious home and her father took her out door knocking, and she HATED it. She opined the kids were doing that shit to please authority figures. You could also tell from her questions that she didn't think the film was "OK" and asked pointed questions about child abuse.

She interviewed the woman/teacher from Dallas today, who took the kids to the museum with the naked statues, and essentially asked if the parents who signed permission slips and objected post facto were idiots.

She told Imus to fuck off (not those precise words). Her words, I think were "I'm not putting up with THIS crap." And she won--they stopped forcing her to deal with him.

I think she is an example of the best of journalism. She keeps her dignity, she isn't for sale, and she 'keeps it real.'

2. I think that women rightfully have a harder
time defending pedophiles and hypocrites. Of course, there are the professional liars like Bay Buchanan and Mary Matalin, but these ladies on the networks who have a three-digit I.Q. are reasonably upset about all this. and well that they should be.

She's Ok...reminds me in a way of the early Leslie Stahl, before she was defanged by the RW.

3. I'm not so sure about her.
All I came away with from the interview was how hysterical she was, when Rachel said the word pedophile and Foley in the same sentence.

4. Jury's out on the whole MSM
As far as I'm concerned it's a question of what kind of fecal material we've stepped in...not what it is.

they're not great all the way around...some are easier to take than others however.

5. fuck HER!
did you just see the clip from MTP, where she cut it off after allowing DeWine to accuse Brown of voting FIFTEEN times against the troops, and FIVE times against body armor, including DeWine saying, "You are UNBELIEVABLE!"

they cut the clip off immediately after that, without allowing Brown's response, THEN commented on DeWine's "unbelievable" comment, saying, basically how exciting the exchange was

completely despicable

6. My friend...
it's MSRNC...what do you think you're gonna see?

What Amurkins are beginning to realize is that pedophilia is WOISE than the check cashing scandal.

7. pretty funny to see this egregious bit of hack 'journalism' after reading
about how wonderful this creature is

that was one of the worst bits of 'fair and balanced' reporting I've ever seen

hope media matters gets wind of it

9. Don't look at me...
I was talking about her lack of inhibitions and female anchors in general. Where Aline Saarinen when you need her?
