Why do conservative Repugs hate centerfolds? They prefer their pages bent over.

4. Foley: "Lord, I was born a RAMBLA man" |
|
Tryin' to make a livin' and doin' the molestin' I can.
Now it's time for leavin', I hope you'll understand.
That I was born a RAMBLA man.
Lord, I was born a RAMBLA man, dah-dah-dah.
Lord, I was born a RAMBLA man, dah-dah-dah.
Lord, I was born a RAMBLA man, dah-dah-dah."
(RAMBLA, as in Republican American Man Boy Love Association)

7. stalking minors isn't funny |
|
Maybe you have to have had to fight off an adult when you were a teen-ager to get how not funny this is. I don't know. These are kids who have to try to figure out what to do with the creep in question, how to tell parents who may be friends of the creep, how to deal with the gossip-mongers if you do speak, what to do if you aren't believed, what you might have to say to cops and in court, and on and on. This is just not funny.

8. Not to mention that it is a very POWERFUL Creep, who |
|
easily could help or hurt your future (think recommendations for schools/jobs or essentially having 'blackball' type letters sent to schools or possible employers). I am in no way suggesting that Foley would threaten such a thing ... what I am suggesting is that when the creep is that powerful - those thoughts are present in the victim when trying to decide what to do.

10. Yes, Foley abused his power, it's sexual abuse, and those ... |
|
that enabled him participated in sexual abuse. Besides the boys' ages, Foley had some power over them, which I think is the most egregious aspect of this sordid affair.
Regarding the one boy in particular, the transcript and the fact that the boy reported it and said he was freaked out by the conversation indicates that it was not consensual. The transcript indicates that the boy felt like he was under duress.
sexual abuse: The forcing of unwanted sexual activity by one person on another, as by the use of threats or coercion.

9. How ironic. Look what Foley said in 1998 about Clinton, concerning Monica: |
|
"It's vile. It's more sad than anything else, to see someone with such potential throw it all down the drain because of a sexual addiction." -- Former Florida Rep. Mark Foley, referring to President Clinton during the Lewinsky scandal. http://www.sptimes.com/Worldandnation/91298/Congress_sees_through.html
