The consequences of helping him are simple: ACCESSORY AFTER THE FACT. FEDERAL CRIME. JAIL TIME.

I'd say "Fuck him!" if I were a staffer, put my resume up on MONSTER, and start trolling the halls on both the House and Senate side, trying to find out which staffers in other offices are leaving, or getting ready to do the maternity leave thing, or what have you.
