CHRIS MATTHEWS (ugh) just said that the Republicans won
"when Mrs. Alito left the room in tears."

I am truly beginning to hate this idiot.

But the crying thing. THAT is what he feels the swing vote on SCOTUS comes down to? What a fucking asshole.

20. Maybe we should play the 'pity' card, too ...
The night of the SOTU address, Dems can start crying and have to be 'assisted' out of the hall.

"The president is just being SOOO mean to us," said Feinstein, obviously distraught.

"He's been SPYING on us," said a teary-eyed Ted Kennedy.

"I can't believe what he's done to the economy," commented Russ Feingold, too choked by emotion to continue.

I know they WON'T do it -- but it sure would make the Republicans look as ridiculous as they actually are ...

I don't think it played as they planned it to play.

If it had, every single bubbleboy in the white male Thug caucus would be pounding on this point. And, they're not.

This is the fall back position and there's Matthews, bringing up the rear as usual.

Stop watching him. He's an idiot and getting riled up over what he or any cable pundit says is akin to getting emotionally involved or worked up over professional wrestling. Yes, certain blogs and internet sites need to watch this crap to be able to relay "what the enemy is saying" to us, but none of us need to watch it. I've not watched any of that crap for at least 2-3 years now yet I know exactly what they say and when they say it. Let those who choose and want to get in the trenches and watch that stuff like Media Matters do the dirty work.

You just never know what bit of insanity will spring from his lips at any given moment.

He said in this latest BushCo onslaught that it was Ms Alito crying that won the day! Can you believe this is the level of discourse in America? Why not just say that it was Alito's tie or his eye glasses that won over the Senators? No mention by Tweety about anything that might happen because of the nomination nor any mention of the stakes nor any mention of the etc etc etc

gone up since the hearings because of Mrs. Alito and Lindsey Graham's over the top performance of the outraged Republican Senator. They have spun this into evil Dem's vs good Judge Alito and the pathetic masses that think they are saving babies and putting women in their place, have fell for this like the good fools they are.
This is a 2006 election stunt courtesy of the Republicans and by the time the fools figure it all out the elections will be over and they will be left with a Government that has no respect for their rights or their privacy. Worse for them, Roe vs Wade will still be in place, because it will have to be challenged state by state and I think we can all figure out that the Republicans have no intention of doing away with such a big money making and vote getting law like Roe vs Wade. They will just throw them a little piece of meat once in a while to keep them excited and on board.

43. The real reason is not the histrionics of his wife, caused by Lindsey
Graham, btw, who called her husband a ''bigot' at which point all Democrats should have jumped to their feet and fiercely objected, but too late for that now.

Chris Matthews, imo, is simply DUMB. I have watched him try to figure things out on the air, that even a grade school child could figure out, and wondered 'is he acting, or does he really not know the answer to the questions he's asking'? I concluded that he's not too bright, which is why he is so easily influenced by a flight-suited pretender, who went AWOL when it really counted

He actually thinks that that piece of phony theater is what got support for the war, when in fact it was all the lies that were told. But because he, himself, is just so DUMB, he projects that stupidity to the rest of us!! This is why I refuse to pay for their propaganda anymore.

If Alito is confirmed it will be because the Republicans have a majority. It's that simple, but simple-minded Chris falls for the theatrics of this administration EVERY TIME and because HE does, he assumes WE will. There's something missing in that man's brain.

Also, in a transcript of his drool over Bush's flight suit, which was the most sickening thing I have ever read from a grown man, he asked 'can you imagine any Dem. being able to do this?' and then he gave a list. On the list was Sen. McGovern!!!

If anyone doubted his stupidity, this should have confirmed it for them.

Sen. McGovern, unlike the AWOL pilot who so impressed Matthews by dressing up like a pilot, actually WAS a fighter pilot!!

I think he owes Sen. McGovern a huge apology. He was a WW11 fighter pilot ~ these people make me sick, it's difficult to express the absolute disdain I have for them.

He drools all over an AWOL actor, and then says that he can't imagine a REAL fighter pilot being 'able to pull this off'. :puke:

UNBELIEVABLE!! Why does anyone watch this garbage anymore?
