i think the republicanshave peaked too soon - so yeah, a terror alert or anther series of "major speeches" is a definate possible.

... I think they KNOW that the terra alert thing has been played to death, and doesn't get the knee-jerk reaction it used to.

What I would bet on, though, is another HUGH!!! SERIES!!! 'foiled plot' scenario, like the one a few weeks ago - only THIS TIME, maybe they'll be smart enough to blame a bunch of 'imminent hikackers' who actually have passports.
