I've signed the petitions. I've called my representatives. I've given money to organizations. I'm going to vote straight-ticket Democratic. I can't vote absentee, as it's not available in my state unless you're really not going to be there for a period of at least several weeks.

So what else can I do.....? (Real question.)

Even that half-ass Sen.Boxer Rep. Holt (not their fault) paper ballot 'availability' bill went no where. Most of the GOP is actively working AGAINST restoring our democracy at because that is the way the BU**SH** regime wants it!
Asking for an absentee ballot and/or a paper one- if you are lucky enough to live in an area that has them available is NOT enough! Bush (and others) should be arrested!
So many have died because of their crimes and callousness!
Ann Wright rode around NY with a sign that said that and we went to the UN to tell them he was a war criminal. she said -as we all know we can NOT depend on fair elections or a fair media.
The activest threads on here often are the least active- many people like to chit chat but NOT take any chances.
WE do NOT have to all agree on every detail to know some thing is VERY wrong, and is going to take drastic action to fix.
Don't even just come out on Oct 5th- work now to get as many other people as possible to come out as well.
Some people are so clueless it is hard to even know what to tell them.

5. Do you know what plans there are to get media coverage?

(If any.) There have *been* protests, here and other countries. They don't get covered, or if they are they are made to sound small and insignificant.

7. dang I took a workshop concerning using the media too- I'll ask.

I have seen how the media tends to under estimate crowds IF they do cover an event. Ann Wright just discussed the lack of media coverage of even large events. We can't count on the media. Sometimes I do think that MANY events all around the country may have a bigger effect. The Charlotte 5 have been in the local papers quite a bit, sincer their brutal arrests.

Granted, this will not be available until 2008, and it actually MIGHT PASS IF the 2006 election isn't stolen again and Dems do not control at least one house.

They don't want to "fix" it.. The ones in charge of correcting it are the ones who got put into congress with the current system.. they don't see anything wrong with it. :eyes:
