Is this a perfect storm?
Edited on Sun Oct-01-06 06:15 PM by cynatnite
NIE says Iraq war creates more terrorists and makes us less safe.
'State of Denial' shows the infighting, incompetance and manipulation in the WH.
Colin Powell was fired by pinhead Andy Card.
Mark Foley's inappropriate, and possibly criminal, sexual behavior towards minors.
The repuke leadership covered up Mark Foley's behavior.

on edit: Abramoff's connection to Mehlman and others continue to come to light.

Thanks, babylonsister! :hi:

3. Yes, but...
We can't get complacent now. We have to keep working as hard as ever to keep the momentum going to get as many Dems elected as possible. As much as I think all of this is "good" news, I'm going to pretend like none of this happened & work like hell for my district candidate...of course, with a much bigger smile now.

8. Absolutely!
I got too cocky in 2004. Not this time. My feet are firmly planted on the ground.

I can't help but smile

They deserve everything they're getting...and more.

They sure are in defensive mode. Even their Fox hounds are running scared with propsganda today. They sure weren't planning for any of these. Let's watch the responses. The best part is their credibility is shot on all issues.

7. KKKarl will find a way to spin the news cycle
It could get really really ugly, really quickly. KKKarl needs the GOP to be seen as the protectors of america and defenders of democracy around the world. And he needs this BEFORE the elections.

:brr:

What trick will he pull out of his bag next?

10. Too bad they passed a bill making a dictator this wk too.
making it ok to grab any of us, hold us without charging us, for whatever they want, and do whatever they want with us, if the president/dictator says it is ok.

Maybe this is the tornado part of the storm?

11. Tip of the iceberg.
We aren't dealing with the perfect storm. We're dealing with massive global warming. Everything is going wrong for them. Because every single thing they did was wrong.

18. It would be enough to sink other administrations, but it'll take a
metric shitload of scandal and outrage to dislodge this bunch. I'm sorry, but I've seen so many "This will finally bring them down!" scandals just go away...

21. Oh great, let's get Gonzalez involved...
So now we'll have that creep Gonzalez peeping in. God knows what crap he's involved with to start!
The Great Torturer will have Foley looking like a Boy Scout after this investigation.
On second though, maybe "Boy Scout" isn't the right description.
