1. A man who can't touch down in a number of countries when travelling
because he's wanted for questioning? Still true?

5. My pastor, Fr. Pat, was in Chile during the
Allende/Pinochet period and today he said in his sermon "We must reject the politics of polarization." He participated in the anti-war rallies before March '03 and every Sunday evening he leads an anti-death penalty vigil at the Governor's mansion. I have no doubt that Henry the K's portrait is not on the walls of Latinos.

2. My friend who writes for The Tonight Show told me this joke last night..
He didn't write it, but he wished he did!

Henry Kissinger has been spending a lot of time at the White House and has been giving the President advice on Iraq. An aide was quoted as saying that "it was like he was re-living the Vietnam War."

Hey, that makes perfect sense. Especially since president Bush missed the Vietnam War the first time.

6. F'n Killinger said we lost the Viet Nam war because we didn't support it

the Mother F*cker cant leave the US because he will be arrested for crimes against humanity and be hung.. or probably assassinated, he is responsible for the systematic torture and disappearance of Tens of Thousands, if not hundreds of thousands in Chile, Peru, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador.. all over the southern hemisphere when he and Negraponte were on their savage psychotic murderious rampage in the name of Democracy..

7. the attempt to have him head up
the 9-11 commission, knowing full well his gold mine and other compensations for services rendered in east timor, show the real level of disconnect they operate under.

8. Kissinger is certified crazy
He probably still thinks nuclear war is a good idea because he was convinced the US could survive one.

10. It's a beautiful thing, really - I'm very happy about it
One of the GOP's saving graces is the byzantine nature of their scandals. Scandals like Plamegate and Abramoff are so complex that they are hard to distill into simple, clearcut stories that people can easily follow and relate to. That's why "terrists bad, Iraq war good" worked so well for so long. But even now many still cling to "finish what we start" and "fight the the enemy there so we don't have to fight them here."

Now along comes someone who puts a different face on Iraq's bad policy. It is not the face of Bush or anyone in his cabinet. It belongs to the ultimate symbol of Viet Nam-era duplicity and chicanery - who, for the sake of a theory, helped get 50,000 American soldiers killed. It allows people to maintain their sense of patriotic loyalty to the White House while denouncing the bad, bad man who led it astray. And here I'm just talking about the base who won't even question why Bush and Cheney find Kissinger's philosophy so appealing.

There are so many reasons to hate and distrust Henry Kissinger, pretty much all the bases are covered. I am delighted to see his ugly, lying, decrepit old mug plastered all over this story.
