A lot of rabid fundagelicals are very unhappy with Congress because they haven't banned abortions and gay marriage or put the Ten Commandments in every classroom. So leave a margin of error for those wackos.

5. But who will they vote for? Same old same old.... |
|
I honestly believe there is a larger majority out there that want change, more than the media is allowed to report on.

and when I note that House convened about 100 days this year, 25 of them being partial days I know the current system is not working. If the two major parties can't get things done, the system should have ways to allow a new party to compete to take one of the two slots over.
It's as simple as that. Like allowing a vote for a third party candidate that will revert to the second choice if a set plurality is not reached.
That would allow third party building to be able to grow. And from the looks of things, that might not be a bad Idea. The two major parties are co-opted and too much like one another. They at least need incentive to avoid that, as it take even a one or the other choice away from people voting.

9. I think there's a lag in the poll registration... |
|
I have seen this before with the CNN online polls. I just voted and it is saying 111727 now (not many more, but some). Anyway, I have never seen it change immediately after my votes. Don't know why but suspect there's a lag time and it eventually does catch up.

4. That poll is misleading.... |
|
because even the radical religious right is not happy with the congress. They don't think enough has been done as of yet to pass their agenda's. And of course us Dem's are not happy with congress because of soooo many reasons I couldn't begin to name them.

What I'm saying is that EVERYONE is not happy with congress for various reasons. The religious right doesn't think congress has done enough ban abortion, gay marriage and all their other agenda and the left thinks (and I agree) they are too radical and need replacing with Dem's.....The poll is misleading because of the way it is worded.
