Webb wins former critic's endorsement

This is nice to read. I am glad Linda Postenrieder found satisfactory closure, and is supporting Webb.

One of the female U.S. Naval Academy graduates who charged this month that a 1979 article written by Democrat Jim Webb critical of women in the military encouraged harassment of women at Annapolis officially endorsed the U.S. Senate candidate yesterday.

Linda Postenrieder, a 1982 Annapolis graduate, said she was satisfied with the apology that Webb extended two hours after she and four others spoke at a news conference on Sept. 13 organized by the campaign of Republican U.S. Sen. George Allen.

"I would vote for Jim Webb if I were in Virginia," Postenrieder, a registered Democrat, said in a telephone interview last night from the art gallery she owns in Petaluma, Calif.

As a woman, this is great news to me.
