CNN: Recipient said (first batch) emails were "SICK" not "Over-friendly"
That's right. GOP leadership is trying to say that the initial email complaint was about "over-friendly" emails.... NO. CNN report this morning said the page who made initial complaint described the unwanted emails as "Sick". That's right. "Sick".

Hastert and Boner are trying to minimize the innapropriateness of Foley's "over-friendly" conduct to explain their inaction. But the youngster apparantly found the content to be "sick". So who's telling the truth?

Don't these guys have kids? Would they like a fifty-something man to send THEIR teenage kids "over-friendly" emails? Covering for a pedophile to protect and consolidate a monoploy on political power is the kind of immorality that EVERYONE can understand.

The MSM loves sex scandals... CNN is all over this one.

Remember, the word is "sick", not "over-friendly".

1. SICK, eh?
They should be made public, along with all of the other messages.

9. The emails were made public. No sexual content. The kid's instincts told
him something was not quite right with Foley's interest and he cut off communications and forwarded the emails to a staffer in Alexander's office where he used to work. Those were the "over friendly" emails.

The overtly IM's are another matter but those did not involve the kid with the emails. And so far no evidence that the leadership knew about the explicitly sexual IM's from years before involving other former pages.

4. A 50 yr old man's "overfriendly" is a 16 yr old boy's "sick" would be my
guess.

11. It was in the ABC report that broke the story last week.
http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2006/09/sixteenyearold_.html Not exactly new "news."

CREW posted the emails in pdf form available here: http://www.citizensforethics.org/press/newsrelease.php?view=161

Note: the IM's also available at that link involved another former page, not the kid with the emails.

13. From CNN web site...
In his forwarding message, the former page comments that he found the request for his picture "sick."
