Hume Compares Mark Foley To President Clinton
This morning on Fox News Sunday, Brit Hume compared Mark Foley’s predatory behavior towards underage pages to President Clinton’s relationship with Monica Lewinsky. Hume said that while Foley is now “in total disgrace in his party,” Clinton’s “inappropriate behavior toward a subordinate even cost Bill Clinton his standing in his party.”

He needs to be either hospitalized or medicated, or both.

5. Hmmm...
So purusing an underage boy is the same as a consensual sexual dalliance?

Between this and thinking all GLBT are child molesters, it makes you wonder what planet these asshats are from.

6. Well of course this is being compared to Clinton
It's all they have. But, for those of us who are not obvious facts impaired, here are differences, Lewinsky was over 21 and was willing. In fact, it seems that she sought him out rather than the other way around. And Lewinsky was, and is, a woman, where Foley sought out underage boys. See the differences? I know DUers do, but for the impaired out there, try and figure it out. Don't get a headache. I don't want you Fox watching, Falwell worshiping welfare people getting aspirin on my dime.

with a 20-something girl getting out of hand, pardon the pun, but pursuing teenagers is way different. The GOP leadership knowing about it for a year and sitting by is inexcusable, too.

8. Brit Hume is NOTHING MORE than a rethuglican tool and collaborator.
If Jesus Christ descended from the heavens to admonish the bush* mis-administration for the decidedly un-Christian conduct, Hume would take issue with Christ and support bush*.

9. What do the Repugs love to say?
That it's the Dems that our out of touch with the mainstream? Hell, I hope they keep it up. They'll eventually figure out that something like this will never spin well and that most individuals will see right through it.

10. Foley
Where are the voices of Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, James Dodson, etc, etc? Are they not concerned about sexual advances on underage boys by a Republican?

13. Well, you know, Brit's Right...
They are extremely similar...

Except that Monica and Bill were consenting adults and the pages are minors...
Oh... and Bill's transgression was called 'adultery' and was grounds for divorce, while Foley's transgression is called 'solicitation of minors' and is grounds for imprisonment...
Oh... and Bill's transgression was subject to an immediate witchhunt by a hostile congress, while Foley's transgression was covered up by a friendly congress for 5 years...

But other than the entire gamut of the salient material facts, they are EXACTLY THE SAME!

16. They're all the same.
I figure that most people become Repugnican pundits in order to provide cover for nasty skeletons in their closets. It's why they all cover for each other. It's the Greedy Old Pervert party.
