"The pimps...the whores, the welfare brats, the crybabies, and the bloodsuckers would be completely cut off from society’s teat."
Ted Nugent the politically conservative rock-and-roll star, on what would happen if he’s elected governor of Michigan

What a bastard! Hopefully the good people of Michigan wouldn't vote for this slimy piece of shit.

1. "welfare brats"
Yes I think all children whose parents are on welfare should be allowed to starve to death in the streets.

Along with all rightwingnut assholes.

It's what Jesus would do.

Stupid MFers.

21. Here is how this patriot got out of the draft.......
ON MILITARY SERVICE

He claims that 30 days before his draft board physical, he stopped all forms of personal hygiene. The last 10 days, he ingested nothing but Vienna sausages and Pepsi; and a week before his physical, he stopped using bathrooms altogether, virtually living inside pants caked with his own excrement, stained by his urine. That spectacle won Nugent a deferment, he says. "... but if I would have gone over there, I'd have been killed, or I'd have killed, or I'd killed all the hippies in the foxholes...I would have killed everybody." - Detroit Free Press Magazine , July 15, 1990

27. He didn't do that to avoid the draft
He did it for fun.

Staying out of the military was just a fringe benefit.

2. Did he say this about the same time as the Ford layoffs were announced?
If so, his political career will, thankfully, end before it begins.

4. "Pimps, whores, welfare brats, crybabies, and bloodsuckers?"
He's clearly talking about Republican-owning big corporations, who are long overdue to be cut off from any and all teats, if you ask me. So what's the problem?

19. My thoughts exactly, Orrex!
What is this blindness Americans have toward corporate welfare while maintaining a mean-spiritedness toward social welfare? Corporate welfare is about 4 times social welfare, but of course, we never hear about that!

Hi CrispyQGirl :hi:

That mythical woman with the ten babies, cashing in her WIC and foodstamps to buy drugs--she's the problem.

Halliburton, likely receiving in one year far more than all private welfare recipients in the same period, is a martyred victim in all of this.

13. No, instead they will vote for Dick(head) DeVos of AMWAY fame
He is the frontrunner on the Repub side. I doubt Nugent will make it out of the primary. I am not a huge fan of Granholm (our current Dem gov.) but she is leaps and bounds ahead of DeVos or any other Michigan repub.

I am so worried that with our employment problems she is going to get blamed for everything. Our state congress is Republican controlled and are doing everything they can to block her initiatives.

16. Wasn't one of his illegitimate children on welfare?
I seem to recall that Mr. Personal Responsibility Nugent tried to avoid his paternal obligations to one of his offspring, who ended up having to be taken care of by John and Jane Taxpayer.

Let me do a little searching . . .

Yep, found it. First he denied paternity, and tried to stiff the woman on child support:

http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,13559,00.html

Then he turned around and admitted the boy was his, and promptly countersued the woman for visitation rights to a child he'd never seen:

Now THERE'S some conservative family values for ya.

and refused to provide support for, until forced to by a judge. Some "family values" Republican party you have there Ted.

Deadbeat dads, Ted, like the ones who are taken to court to make payments for their illegitimate children... uh, like YOU were?

Any special provision in there for people who crapped their pants for a week to get out of Vietnam? How about a rider condemning slightly above average rockers who don't know when their 15 minutes of fame are over?
