If it takes the Foley sexual predator scandal to wake up this country to the hypocritical "we'll-keep-you-safe", party of "values" nonsense, so be it. All this hand-wringing over what people SHOULD be upset about in this country is a waste of time, IMO.

If anything, this scandal reinforces the greater theme against the GOP: They had warning about the dangers and yet did nothing meaningful. Once the incident occurred, oh, sure, they're on it.

Republicans are reactive, not proactive, in the face of danger - 911, Iraq war, Katrina, Foley.

1. I agree
Whatever it take to bring them down. The personal corruption and lack of ethics is only indicative of the entire regime.

4. Talk about an October Surprise ...
if this was a Dem, they'd be milking it for what it's worth. Fortunately, the media is taking this seriuosly and is giving it the coverage, and the questioning, it deserves.

5. The media can't ignore this one
As much as they might want to play that 6 year old terra tape nonstop, they HAVE to cover Foley.

If a sleazy sex scandal involving a 52yo Grand Old Pervert man preying on an underage boy is what it takes to open their eyes to the hypocrisy, so be it.
