10. From that website:
>
>
"In a letter faxed by Foley to WPBF-TV in West Palm Beach, the former congressman talked about why he entered an alcohol treatment facility.

"Painfully, the events that led to my resignation have crystallized recognition of my longstanding significant alcohol and emotional difficulties," Foley wrote. "I strongly believe that I am an alcoholic and have accepted the need for immediate treatment for alcoholism and related behavioral problems."

Most likely, Karl Rove suggested that he pretend to be an alcoholic, in deep need of help. The voting public can sympathize with "drinking problems", a lot more than they could with pedophilia.

3. Techically, I would have to vote no on that poll...
since there wasn't a chance in hell before the Foley scandal that I would have voted Republican.

8. Well, I just look at it as "adding to infinity..."
since the chance of my voting for a repub was infinitesmally small (but not zero, since I suppose someone holding a gun to my or my family's heads might make me change my mind)....

4. How can I be any less likely to vote Republican?
Might as well let 'no' win and let the country see what kind of morally vacant perverts they are.

7. The question was certainly worded awkwardly, wasn't it?
While you are there be sure and add your 2¢ on Cafferty's questions for the day. For some reason there are only two questions today.

Cafferty File

Jack Cafferty sounds off on the stories crossing his radar. Write in to answer Jack's hourly questions, and watch to see if he reads your response.

5 p.m.: If members of Congress, including House Speaker Dennis Hastert, knew of Rep. Foley's misconduct, what should the consequences be?

7 p.m.: How will Bob Woodward's book, "State of Denial," impact the midterm elections?

14. That's good, but I wonder what if an actual scientific poll would
be show even more people who say it makes them more likely to vote democratic?
