Why was Foley allowed to remain as Chairman of Missing/exploited children? |
|
If Hastert and Reynolds knew, and apparently Foley's predatory instincts had been known for years, why was he appointed and why was he ALLOWED to remain a Co-chairman.
By the way, who is the other Chairman?

http://cramer.house.gov/HoR/AL05/He is the founder of the caucus as well. Statement from Representative Bud Cramer on Rep. Mark Foley's Resignation "The actions by former Rep. Foley are shocking and disturbing. I have spent my career working to protect children from sexual predators and anyone, including Foley, involved in this type of behavior should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

7. I think he's disgusted. |

He's from Alabama, so you have to figure he's a bit to the right of the blue north, AND he's pragmatic. Who better to co-chair with than someone from the other party, from the Monkey's brother's state, who can advance issues near and dear to his heart, like AMBER ALERT and internet predators.
Congress is the place where compromises are forged and deals are made. I doubt this guy thought that "sampling the merchandise" was acceptable, though.

8. Well, it actually explains NOTHING, but it is a bit ....DISTURBING. |
|
You don't want to race for the Reynold's Wrap and start fashioning a chapeau, but .... damn.
It's something that merits a bit of a dig, that's for certain.

placing people in these positions to hide what is happening by others behind the curtain.
This is by no means just about Foley.
This is about Foley and more importantly, what Foley knows.

However, there is much pain and needless suffering when such evil is tolerated, ignored and denied.

What was the reason they would knowingly and intentionally allow someone who is known to have sexual attractions to youngsters be the Chairman of the Council of Missing and Exploited Children? Don't give me more of that 'incompetence' BS. They knew full well and for some calculated reason, he remained on. Was he protecting others?
There is something here thats a real problem, and its not just "not caring".
