Question for supporters of Hillary and the DLC |
|
Many here have said that they will support whichever candidate gets the nod, including Hillary. My question to you is, will YOU support any candidate that is put forth?
I think the answer of this goes to show the support the DLC has for the Democratic Party or are they just using it as a vehicle for their agenda?

2. For my part...I have made clear all along... |
|
That there is no one currently being talked about for President that I would not support. In fact I would happily support all of them.
I think you will find substantially the same answer from posters here who have either expressed support for the DLC or for members of the DLC running for office!

4. I don't want to speak for any DLC supporters... |
|
In fact, I can't even think of almost anyone who claims to be a DLC supporter and to hell with progressive Democrats who posts at DU. But for myself, I'll vote the Dem. no matter who it is. I mean, whatta you gonna do? Vote Republican? Puh-leeze. Or you could always siphon votes away from the Democratic candidate by voting third party. Either way, we lose.
I'm not sure yet who I'd support in the primaries, but in the general election, any Democrat has my vote.

Any dem is better than the alternative.
P.S. I think the DLC is detrimental to the dem party as a whole and would much prefer a non-DLC candidate, however, the alternative to a dem president is unthinkable. I won't be a party to splitting the dem vote by going with a third party in the general election. It would be Nader/2000 all over again and I won't be a spoiler. I will vote my conscience in the primary.
edit to say that I am NOT a Hillary supporter at all. She is actually at the bottom of my personal favorites list.

8. "Hillary" and the DLC. IMO, many will dismiss this thread as a veiled |
|
attempt at Hillary bashing and not participate.

10. That's possible...I was giving the OP the benefit of the doubt... |
|
Most Hillary threads whether they start that way or not, ususally do devolve into a bash-fest.

I will be at the polls in November 2008, and I will be voting for the Democratic candidate, whether it's Hillary, Howard Dean, whomever. I'll be there. I don't think it's the "DLC Democrats" who are threatening to bolt from the party if their favorite isn't nominated.
