this Foley scandal has taken the damper off of Bush's planned celebration and signing ceremony for that bill - it has been delayed and they're not sure when it will occur. They were planning on a dog and pony gloating session; I for one and glad to see it's not gonna happen any time soon. :hi:

5. The issue of the torture bill is now going before the Supreme

Court, it has been PASSED by Congress so any action by DUers is not going to affect this. I am not sure what you feel should be done regarding this bill other than continue to inform the public about it which, from what I can tell, is still being done.

The foley scandal has the potential of giving the Democrats the seats needed to take the House and even the Senate. If that happens the bill can be reversed, it seems to me focusing of the foley scandal actually works toward doing something concrete about the torture bill, that being a change of control of Congress.
