1. So does this mean that that last fawning book from Woodward
(whatever the hell the title was) was just something he did for cover while getting the real stuff for this one?

2. I think the explanation is far simpler
Woodward had allowed himself to get soft and he really wanted to believe that a man who came to office under extremely adverse conditions would end up doing what was right for the country.

He was wrong.

Better late than never.

6. I don't think either of the first 2 books were "fawning"
they were not as critical as I think they should have been but they did give us some information that was pretty critical of Bush. . .

Maybe we read different books?
