That's THREE Republican leaders in a row forced to resign now..
Edited on Mon Oct-02-06 03:57 PM by kerry-is-my-prez
I think the handwriting is on the wall. Hastert will have to step down as the Rep. leader of the House.

But let's not forget that Delay was the Rep. leader before him and was forced to resign due to a scandal (corruption). And Trent Lott - the leader in the Senate was also forced to resign due to a scandal.

THREE out of THREE - what does that tell you folks. Republicans are TRULY the Party of Corruption and scandal.

When will we find out something about Frist that will force him to resign?

Everyone was screaming and yelling and taunting each other. It was like the freaking house of commons in Britain. I could not believe my eyes and ears!

7. Watch ,KKKarl will run with it. GOP is the party of projection.
They will be screaming bloody murder if they can find a Democrat with an unpaid parking ticket.

I think I remember them saying that "the adults are in charge now".

8. And Hastert was about the fourth choice for Speaker
It turned out the first few candidates had all had extra-marital affairs after denouncing Clinton's lapses. The hypocrisy was a just smidge too obvious to hide from even the moribund M$M

10. Even More Intriguing--Who Would Replace Him?
Ney is toast, Cunningham is toast, Foley is toast, they'd have to bring in a true reform candidate, a seventh-stringer, or, God forbid, a woman!

12. And Jefferson needs to join them.
No, despite the Republican Party's best efforts, they have been unable to hog all the corruption.

13. Actually it's four!
Remember the Republicans wanted Bob Livingstone as Speaker of the House, but he resigned in disgrace, a sex scandal so bad that he called Larry Flynt and pleaded with him not to publish it.

14. Actually, it's FIVE!
Before Livingstone, Gingrich was forced to resign -- although not for sexual impropriety, because the MSM kept Newt's peccadillos under wraps until he was already out of power. Had the press had the same standard for Republicans as for Clinton, though, Newt would have been thrown out for sex shennanigans, too!

16. Republicans can't afford to have an honest leader of the house.
Someone who can't be bribed is dangerous to the others.

17. Hopefully Duncan Hunter will join the list of resignations soon!

... even though he's not a congressional leader.

I hear rumors that the powers that be are trying to delay a pending indictment (likely over the MZM/BrentWilkesGate stuff) until after the November election. We need to find the details and expose them so we can force his resignation before November the way we've done with Foley and others listed here...
