Anybody else out there who has just had it up to here?
Alito, spying, scandals of 75 varieties, pundits, spin doctors, liars in chief and vice liars, freaking legislators who talk out of both sides of their mouths and do nothing-protect nothing but themselves and their interests, war mongering chickenhawks, hate mongering toadies, RW blonde yammering bimbobots hanging out of their blouses x too many, religious kooks who don't know that their sainted leaders jump to MoonieTunes.....

I'm ready to scream.

Vote 'em all out. No incumbents.

2. You forgot the fact that
Bush knew that the levies would not hold following Katrina and that Homeland Security told the White House that 60,000 people were likely to die. How many people really died?

5. Yesterday as I was checking out the topics in GD, it was apparent
the the US really is in the shitter when it comes to govt corruption, using smoke and mirrors and lies to spin, financial corruption, greed, stomping on the poor, using the Constitution for buttwipe, etc ad nauseaum. Seriously, the first 50 topics in GD were all about impeachable offenses. I had to sign off for awhile because I was getting too angry.

term limits of no more than two terms. Then and ONLY then would you begin to see true reform and less corruption.

That's what they keep spinning, however all the polls show differently. You just stand behind what you believe is right and that's how we'll beat the rat bastards.

peace.

9. I've been there for some time. I am now to the wondering whether there
will ever be a way to turn this takeover around point. They have control of everything. It's awful hard to take something back when they seemingly have the power to control election results at will, stack our courts, control our media, you name it. They got it all and how easy it was for them to do it while America was trying to wake up from the coma they were in because of 911! I hate to admit it, but even I was convinced * was looking out for America at first. What an idiot I was!

11. Shouldn;t thro the baby out with the bathwater
I'm fed up too, but I think we need a more selective throwing of the bums out.

There's a lot of Democrats who are doing the best they can under shitty circumstances. I'd hate to see John Conyers get tossed out, for example.

12. The Dems threw out the baby, bathwater, the tub, and the
fixtures several years ago. They forgot how to fight. And they still don't remember who brought them to the dance. It wasn't corporate leaders. The rank and file voter. The factory guy, the food worker, the janitor, the farmer, the carpenter, the painter, the secretary, the clerk, the data entry person, .....

Why do they deserve my consideration now? The *#$&(*8 barn burnt down with the horses in it.

Not all of them
People like Conyers, Waxman, Kucinich, Kennedy and numerous others are just as much victims of the system you describe as anyone. They are fighting and doing everything humanly possible.

But their hands are tied by being both in the minority party and by the collaborationist wing of the DLC Democrats.

So, I'd say toss a lot of them out, but certainly not all.

13. Past there...........
to the point that I think I'd rather be a citizen of some other country than the one of my birth. I absolutely hate having all of this bushit done in my name, as an American.

I can feel it coming, I just haven't decided where yet. I no longer want to be associated with the bullying, the hubris, the meanness, the greed that the United States has come to represent. My conscience can't handle it anymore. I DO take it personally!

14. You're too nice
I constantly have to suppress the urge to run them off the road, tear them out of their W4 Ford Earth Destroyers and fling their righteous hard haired loose nostril nuclear lipped judgemental botoxed asses into oncoming rush hour traffic.

Most days I merely arrive home with some stray spittle on the inside of my windshield, although I take GREAT pleasure in jamming the "republican lane change" and running them off exits when they're trying to pass on the right in an exit only lane.

DEFINITION: Republican Lane Change, requires any form of overt republican car decoration. Said vehicle pulls up next to you with less than a car length between you and car in front and tries to muscle into your lane.

You let them try. When they get behind you on your bumper, drop speed slowly until you have them pinned behind you at 35 in a 70.

Best of all, when they get crazy ass mad yelling, honking, death threats, TOTALLY IGNORE THEM OUT OF EXISTENCE. That sends them into orbit - then when they finally DO get in front of you, call in a road rage incident.

16. But we've got to stay united
As hard as the road ahead looms before us. The fact that most of us are abreast of what's really going on or down should give us all hope that maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. With Fitz and Conyers and others, we must keep up the fight, even though some days it seems useless. Bushco is fumbling, and all bad deeds unravel. You just have to be patient, and hopefully the slow burning frog boiling syndrome won't get us until we can get them!

18. I had it up to here on Nov. 2, 2004, when it finally fully hit me why...
Bush's "pod people" in Congress had ponied up $4 billion to convert the nation to electronic voting, money that would pour into the pockets of Bush's rightwingnut buds at Diebold and ES&S, and out would come crapass, hackable voting machines that a chimpanzee could get into (it's been demonstrated)-- with no paper trail, and virtually no audit/recount controls anywhere in the country. Then I had it up to here some more, the next day, when it dawned on me that my Democratic Party leadership had said nothing...NOTHING!!!!...about Bushite corporations owning and controlling the tabulation of our votes with "TRADE SECRET," PROPRIETARY programming code. And I had a final "had it up to here" about 10 days later, when--after studying the exit poll analyses--I realized that the war profiteering corporate news monopolies, acting in concert, through one polling organization, had FALSIFIED their exit polls, late on election day, on everybody's TV screens, to force them to "FIT" the results they were being fed by Diebold's and ES&S's secret vote counting formulas. The numbers that they put up on our TV screens--in the evening hiatus when Kerry's win was changed to Bush' win--were PHONY, FALSE, DOCTORED numbers.

The scales fell from my eyes about that time--about two weeks after the election--as our election system, our corporate "news" media establishment, and my Democratic Party leadership all collapsed into nothing--all frauds, all liars, no redeeming features, none--all at once.

I've since tempered my view of the Democratic Party leadership just a bit. I see a complex picture of war profiteering, fear--perhaps a lot of fear (they were being anthraxed at the time that HAVA was passed), ignorance, corruption and collusion--different amounts of complicity and guilt--with not all of them standing down. (--and a lot of venal corruption at the state/local level, among election officials--which was one of Delay's, Diebold's and ES&S's intentions.)

The election system is an utter fraud.

And the war profiteering corporate news monopolies are also on my shitlist forever. No mixed picture there. All hopelessly and permanently corrupt.

-------------------------------

We need to throw Diebold and ES&S election theft machines into 'Boston Harbor' NOW!

...or we can kiss our democracy goodbye.

from so much anger, and I spend quite a bit of time ranting to anyone who will listen. Mostly, I have a fear of futility (hence my screen name).
