The basic demeanor of Burns and DeWine shows that they're assholes

Have you ever met someone or watched someone on tv and you can just tell right away that they are assholes in every sense of the word? To be honest, while I hate Bush, you really have to read into what he's saying to know that he's a complete douche. However, with Conrad Burns and Mike DeWine, you know from their very essence that they're anti-social, hostile jerks. I watched a re-run of Burns' debate with Tester and he just came across as a pompous POS who was just oh so eager to tear Tester a new one but couldn't. He seemed to be raising his voice in an angry way every time he spoke, whereas Tester responded calmly like a gentleman. Tester really does fit that "guy you want to have a beer with" profile, whereas Burns fits the "hey you kids, get off my lawn" profile. I can understand why he almost lost to Schweitzer in 2000, and I can understand why he's going to lose to Tester in 2006.
Now, with Mike DeWine, the anger in his personality is less palpable, but it's there. Granted I only saw a few seconds of his MTP debate with Brown, but he had a pugnacious demeanor in him, and not in a good way. Then again, could OH DUers tell me more about DeWine? He's not as bad as Burns, but he reminds me of him.

2. Hannity and O'Reilly yes, but not so much with Bush and Falwell

Although Falwell leans there. However, not all conservative idiots have this assholish demeanor. While Ann Coulter is a bitch, her surface demeanor isn't nearly as bad as Burns or Hannity.

3. I know what you mean, but Bush struck me as an asshole

from the second I saw his ugly face. He wears the smug smirk of someone who couldn't give a rat's ass about anything, unless it were to his benefit.
