Am I paranoid to try & think of how Santorum will exploit this shooting? |
|
Wait for it, Pennsylvanians, but be prepared to call him on it the second he starts exploiting this tragedy. It's too fat an opportunity, and Santorum is too behind and too desperate, to let this moment go by without pulling some electioneering stunt.

1. No - I don't think he can - this happened in rural area |
|
and since Casey is also not a gun control Dem he won't touch it either IMHO.
There has been pressure on the State Legislature for one gun a month from big city mayors both in PA and states nearby.

2. But you and I both know "one gun a month" won't stop nuts like this. |

The guy carried out his attack apparently with existing arms--he was a hunter--and only took 4-5 fire arms to his little planned seige. The fact is there is no way to prevent things like this from happening except by better mental health education. Half the frustration is how powerless it makes us all feel, that crazy misogynist violence like this may just be a force of nature no more "solveable" than earthquakes or rattlesnake bites. As a parent of a 16 year old girl, that scares the hell out of me.
