CBS News just used the Amish school shootings
to make a little right wing plug. On the Free Speech segment they had Brian Rohrbough, the father of a Columbine victim, make his little speech blaming the recent school shootings on taking prayer out of schools, abortion and terrorism.

8. Never thought about that, the shooter probably didn't
pray in school, that's probably what caused it. But then again God should have protected the kids since they pray. Right!

4. Funny, Bill Maher said they wouldn't allow him to talk about religion
So he told CBS that he wouldn't do their Free Speech segment because it had restrictions.

6. CBS likes people talking about religion, as long as
...nothing is said to offend the religous.

Offending people who aren't religious is fine by CBS.

7. While you were watching KKKatie's GOP rah rah,
Brian Williams was telling about how "all the president's men" (he did use that exact phrase) were attacking Woodward's book.

9. The ugly underbelly of insane people that call themselves the right...
...is really starting to show. These people are insane. Absolutely insane. Sorry, I don't have any more in-depth analysis than that. They're just INSANE!

10. Rohrbough needs to STFU!
Yeah, prayer in the school would've prevented this whack job from killing those poor Amish kids. :sarcasm:

If what DU'ers in another thread spotted this whacko's truck had a Bush bumper sticker on it. Bet this whacko believed in school prayer, and hated abortion. And the only terrorists are those Islamo Facists ones.

This crowd tries to terrorize the sheeple about terrorists overseas and smoking guns in the form of a mushroom cloud, they ignore the homegrown terrorists and the real smoking guns who mow down nearly the equivalent of a 9-11 a month in deaths.

We damn well better concentrate on the home grown terrorists on our streets.

11. The last two killers were adults, not kids
School prayer had nothing to do with it.

15. Well maybe the kids should have been praying
in school and they wouldn't have been shot. Oh, that was an Amish school and they pray, never-mind.

12. How ridiculous
Just goes to show, even if a person has suffered a huge loss, that does not set them up to be necessarily perceptive about the reasons it happened.

Blaming the shootings on taking prayer out of school and abortions?

14. The Amish weren't paying hard enough?!?!
They've given up electricity and cars for Jesus and it's still not enough to prevent a school shooting? What is it going to take! I say we pray 5 hours a day and give up all technology and ALL sex. Then school shooting will stop :sarcasm:

You're prayer only works if you're "born again". :sarcasm:

18. Oh for the love of God.
:eyes: I'm so sick of hearing that shit. Kids can still fucking pray in school! The faculty just can't freaking make them pray. This is the dumbest shit I've ever heard and I'm fucking sick of hearing it.

19. Do we have the info on the 20 year "revenge"
this guy claimed in his suicide notes? How absolutely irresponsible for K-K-Katie to exploit this before the details become public

Who knows, maybe the guy was pissed Bob Scheiffer was fired from the CBS news desk
