Way to Make Jan 2009 come in February 2007.... Right of Succession?? |
|
Not sure-- let the experts shoot me down.
But hear me out.
Iff * is frogmarched out in Feb 2007 to be followed by Darth Cheney...
Who becomes President then... Speaker of the House....????
Hmmm. As if there's any MORE need to make sure we take both Houses???
Yeah, yeah, yeah---it's a whole lot of iffs, but a whole lot of iffs brought this regime in...it could work in the opposite way...
A boy can dream, can't he???

1. Speaker of the House (Pelosi I hope) after Pres and VP |
|
then President Pro Tempore of the Senate (Robert Byrd if the Dems get a majority)

Cheney would become president. He would then nominate someone for the VP spot.
It's hightly unlikely that both Bush & Cheney would be removed from office at the same time...there would have to be impeachment proceedings for both going on at the same time.

4. They'd tie it up for much longer than 2 years, |
|
but it sure sounds tempting to try.

It's not clear the Democrats will go with impeachment yet.

6. If you read the end of my post-- it's clear I'm in dreamworld-- but it's |
|
a nice play to be and something to keep some folks going during these trying times.
