You know I was a teaching assistant one time. And I have noticed this expression that some kids get in their eyes -when they haven't prepared for whatever the assignment is, but they are trying to bullshit their way out of a tough question. They blink a bit, speak too fast, try to kind of shut you up (since I was a lowly TA and not a prof. there is the possibility of shutting me down I guess-its an affluent school and the undergrads can be little Repukes in training).

Condi has that demeanour ALL THE TIME...specially when she is talking to reporters asking her actual questions unlike Katie Couric.She had it throughtout the 9/11 commission hearings.

I don't know if she is stupid-but damn is she incompetent...

I always try to emphasize this to my students...your degree doesn't count for squat..its just a piece of paper..Its what you know and who you are that ultimately matters.
