6. Ask Hastert and the GOP 'Leadership' |
|
Foley is no longer the target (he's gone) ... it's the failure of the GOP to investigate their own and leave all such questions not only unanswered but allowed to fester and spread for up to a year or more. The corruption of blind partisanship has many, many victims ... and the REAL question is what Mark Foley possibly did in the last year. Now THAT can be laid right on the GOP's doorstep.

seldom has there been a better time or place for some serious guilt by association.
it's time to make some campaign ads.
"<Insert name here> went on over seven overseas trips with Republican Representative, notorious pedophile, and accused felon Mark Foley. What happened on those trips? What was <insert name here>'s close association with Representative Foley? When will we get some answers? The people of <insert state's name here> deserve to know."

9. "Association" has little to do with it - except in the partisanship |
|
Look, at this point any further proof of Foley's guilt is likely to be largely irrelevant to the FACT that the GOP 'leadership' failed to either investigate or act ... and then attempted to cover that fact up.
This is exactly like hurricane Katrina. These bastards had PLENTY of warning and did NOTHING!
Call it Hurricane Foley.
Their total and collaborative failure to act - coupled with the $100,000 bribe/contribution Foley made to Reynolds - clearly depicts a power-obsessed 'leadership' more interested in keeping Foley's seat (and ass covered) and his fund-raising abilities than in ensuring that young people (NOT just pages), particularly working in the House, weren't exposed to sexual predation.
