White House On Page Scandal: "Simply Naughty Emails"...
TONY SNOW, WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY: Good to see you Soledad, thanks.

O'BRIEN: I would assume everybody would want to know, including the president. I mean we're not talking about any old person, we're talking about the leadership of the Republicans in Congress. Why would he not hear something that's disturbing or his office? Over- friendly, when I see that word as a parent and I think any parent would say whoa, over-friendly? Any communication between a 16-year-old and a congressman why doesn't that raise red flags, major, massive red flags?

SNOW: Look, I hate to tell you, but it's not always pretty up there on Capitol Hill and there have been other scandals as you know that have been more than simply "NAUGHTY" e-mails.
This White House is out of touch, very serious denial problems...

1. To be fair,
Snow buried that comment in a fairly steady stream of denunciation, no holds barred. He apologized for a poor choice of words somewhat later. I'd be inclined to cut him a little slack on this one.

2. No slack should be given, imo
He chose the words, let him defend them or apologize for them and, in the meantime they stand, he said them, publicly, at a press conference.

7. That was far from an apology, imo, it was merely a belated....
recognition at how politically bad using that expression was. He said it, he owns it, imo.

3. I heard that exchange live and he minimized the seriousness of
Foley's actions.

I don't cut him any slack. He was trying to snow people watching CNN.

6. "Measure your penis, 16 year old! Ejaculate in a towel face down!"
Yeah, "simply naughty" by GOP standards.
