Mike Malloy Update

UPDATE

We have returned from a few days out of town and STILL have no "real" news to report. However, we do anticipate some radio news this week. At least that's what we've been told. So stay tuned, Truthseekers! Mike's ready to whip some GOP child-molesting Foley-flying monkey tail!

As for media news: Mike was recently interviewed by salon.com for an article they're writing about Air America Radio past, present, and future. As is "Creative Loafing" here in Atlanta. We haven't been told the publication dates, but watch for them. Mike had some interesting observations.

We're still waiting out a few minor details before we can discuss what we've come to know as the backstory to our untimely dismissal from Air America. It's quite the story, trust me.

While we were on the road it came to our attention that there were one or two Internet efforts underway to initiate some kind of independent syndication effort for the Mike Malloy Show. We want to thank all those folks who are working to establish a self-syndicating operation for us. As we've stated in response to your many inquiries via email, we are awaiting official word from two or three traditional radio opportunities before we delve into the world of at-home syndication or netcasting. We do remain confident that the Mike Malloy Show will be picked up by a network very soon. If not, then we'll certainly entertain all these other opportunities and generous offers in the near future. As always, we do so appreciate your support and efforts on our behalf.

In fact, your email, calls, and petitions are tremendously helpful. It certainly is a big boost to our morale and is noticed by potential radio outlets as well. Thank you thank you thank you so much, we'll be in touch.

10. There is a rumor circulating around the wingnut blogs regarding AAR

The Radio Tranquilizer (you know, the blog that spotlights failed part-time radio talk show host Brian Maloney's unhealthy obsession with Al Franken and AAR) claims that AAR co-founder Sheldon Drobny (one of Malloy's biggest supporters) is looking to buy the company. I would normally pass this off as pure bullshit, considering the source, but I saw mention of it on a left-leaning blog citing a different source.

Take it for what it's worth. Pure rumor at this point. After all, this Radio Lobotomizer is the same asshat who claims that, because Drobny once promoted an anti-Bush book co-written by a couple LaRouche supporters, that all of a sudden Drobny is a close confidant of ol' Lyndon.

Britt Hume and FAUX even tried to spread the same bullshit story, proving that they think their viewers are stupid and will believe anything they see on FAUX Snooze.
