Just saw "The US vs. John Lennon" - GO SEE IT.
Inspiring. Just the film DUers need to see. If only we all had John (and Yoko's) courage and ability to embrace our eccentricity ("they" will never "get it" anyway, so why worry that they think we're nuts?).

There were about 20 people for the 9:30pm Monday night show. Lots of laugh-out-loud moments. The biggest laugh was had when Geraldo Rivera simply appeared onscreen. And the ironic blindness of G Gordon Liddy remains astonishing.

Go see it!

Power to the people, right on!

5. So did the FBI/CIA kill John Lennon?
The more we read the more it seems like another patsy covered up another government crime.

6. The film didn't address that.
I have always had my suspicions, though... I mean, come on...

Sigh...

8. Yes-I really think so..
I've been reading up on it since I heard about the movie. The most alarming thing is the doorman at the Dakota that night-the one who told Chapman to run away after the shooting- one Jose Perdomo.
He worked in the CIA with watergate burgler Frank Sturgis for 10 years. Google Jose Perdomo + John Lennon

Check out this cartoon from Mack White <http://www.mackwhite.com/lennon.html> and read some of the links. Also, his son Sean thinks the government did it.

So Says Son Sean

The BFEE has robbed me of all my heroes.

7. It was great !!
very, very inspiring! I really enjoyed Gore Vidal-"John Lennon stood for life, and that's a good thing. Mr. Nixon and Mr. Bush stand for death, and that's a very bad thing."

10. I saw it over the weekend and loved it.
I laughed and I cried.

I was surprised that it didn't open in more theaters. The closest one to me was about 20 miles away. It was worth the drive though.

Declare peace!

13. DVD will be worth having when it comes out.
Lionsgate made the film (because none of the "major" studios would have. So they don't have the muscle that the others do. Sad, really.
