Only an idiot digs a hole with a flat-bladed shovel. That's what spades are for. Flat shovels are good for snow, moving dirt that's already been unearthed, and for using as a king-sized dustpan. Why Captain Nitwit is allegedly using one to DIG a hole is beyond me.
