An open letter to Democrats running in Republican districts
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank you for the courage to file for a race your friends told you was hopeless. Thank you for giving us a choice. Thank you for being there and being ready for the inevitable GOP self-destruction. Thank you from the bottom of my blue Democratic heart.
:patriot:

1. Do you think they've got a chance now?
I'm speaking as someone in the very red area of Collin County. How I would LOVE to kick Sam Johnson to the curb. Do you think that's a pipe dream?

I saw three - THREE - "Had Enough Yet? Vote Democratic" signs in my neighborhood last night. And I don't see ANY repub signs! :bounce:

Oh please oh please oh please oh please....

4. Oh, I don't know about Collin County
Let's just say I would be hesitant to put money down in Vegas on your local Dems. BUT, having said that, remember that you can't win if you don't play; you can't have an upset without an opponent. In this environment who really knows what can happen.

Whichever way it turns out, Sam or no Sam, keep your activists going after the election. We need a 254 county strategy to go along with the DNC's 50 state strategy! The tide is turning, as your yard signs show. We may not drown all the bastards this time, but next time will be a tsunami.

2. Echo the Sentiment
I live in a red area of my state, but it is trending heavily "purple". I just wish that the candidate here for my Congressional district wasn't such a spineless wimp that is trying to appeal to Republicans primarily. I understand the politics of the situation, but in my particular situation, the candidate (Rick Trent) had the audacity to tell people that he is "more of a Republican than a Democrat". I'm sorry, but I can't support that whatsoever.
