America?
From "V For Vendetta"

Interrogator: I am instructed to inform you that you have been convicted by special tribunal and that unless you are ready to offer your cooperation you are to be executed. Do you understand what I'm telling you?

Evey Hammond: Yes.

Interrogator: Are you ready to cooperate?

Evey Hammond: No.

Interrogator: Very well. Escort Ms. Hammond back to her cell. Arrange a detail of six men and take her out behind the chemical shed and shoot her.

Guard: It's time.

Evey Hammond: I'm ready.

Guard: Look all they want is one little piece of information, just give them something, anything.

Evey Hammond: Thank you, but I'd rather die behind the chemical sheds.

Guard: Then you have no fear any more. You're completely free.

1. No one wants to be the first to storm the gates - bullets kill
but it is that very fear that people must overcome...that something is bigger than themselves. Like the ideas behind what America is supposed to be.

People die all the time...it's what we all will do eventually.

Die like you want to live (intentional phrasing)...on your knees or standing.

I was at a civil rights march in Forsyth County Georgia 20 years ago. I saw the snipers in the trees and the national guard lining the route. I was walking along when I looked up...I was behind Coretta Scott King and the rest of the VIP marchers. Prime spot to die. I accepted that I could die that day. I continued to march.

After the march a group of white males in a muscle car tried to run me over..and they would have except for the African-American men who ran out into the road and snatched me out of harms way.

I'm no hero. I'm no one special. I'm not brave. I don't want to die.

But I refuse to live in fear.

2. Give me liberty or give me death - essentially what she is saying
And what we should be saying to the terrorists, or we let the founders down.

Governments should be afraid of their people.
