Rep. Keith Westmoreland from Tennessee committed suicide shortly after the news of his "escapades" with children broke. I know it well because it happened not far from where I grew up. It was a big deal, because all of the Republicans and Fundies turned into a circular firing squad (pardon the illustration) between those who thought it was no big deal and he was "misunderstood" (a la Foley) and those with a little more sense.

Ole' Keith liked to get into swimming pools at hotels with little girls and pleasure himself in front of them, sometimes even asking them what they thought about his lil' Keith. Of course, this was all the girls fault as was alleged at the time.
