When it comes to politics, there are always two sides -- if not more -- to any story. But what if one of the sides presented is pure drivel? Should it be given consideration, or should it be challenged?

That's a question someone should be asking Christopher Cuomo, anchor of ABC's Good Morning America, who either was woefully unprepared for his interview yesterday morning with White House Press Secretary Tony Snow, or couldn't bring himself to challenge a false claim. Snow falsely said that author Bob Woodward didn't rely on "key players" within the Bush Administraiton in reporting his book State of Denial: Bush at War, Part III

Then how could they be key players? I mean, come on! The "chief of staff"? What kind of made-up title is that? Probably has to report to the Director of Lessons Learned or some other nothingburger factotum. "Head of the FBI"? Give me a break! Nothing but a glorified paper shuffler.

Mr. Cuomo was perfectly right to simply nod and let Mr. Snow say whatever the hell he wanted to say, true or false, good or bad, serious or laughably ludicrous. After all, it's not Mr. Cuomo's job to figure out the truth. He's just supposed to sit there and look pretty for his hefty paycheck.
