I'd almost rather see him lose his seat next month in the election. If he resigns and they replace him like they're doing with Foley, his replacement may win, I suppose. If he stays in the race, then it's another seat we never expected to win that we should win hands down.

Should House Speaker Dennis Hastert resign as a result of his handling of the Foley-Capitol Hill Page sex scandal? * 11319 responses Yes. He's failed in his stewardship and should definitely resign....74% No. He's doing the right thing in investigating and correcting the problem...12% Maybe. It's too soon to tell if he chose to bury the scandal so he could preserve power..13%
