...and I guess it's because we can hash out here what we usually can't even bring up in polite social situations in the face-to-face world. This is sort of like the workshop where we hammer out the finer points of the positions we will act on when we are trying to be sensible in the real world.

No, you're starting from the standpoint that he went into a school and killed some girls because he is acting on a sexist agenda, one that is evidently mainstream, and is sane and rational. By extension, if this man is sane and rational, then all sane and rational men must harbor some desire to commit extreme violence against women for no other reason than that they don't have a penis.

Further, based on your successive dismissal of any attempt to label this man as insane, you are implying that the bombing of the referenced Birmingham church (and the myriad other incidents that have occurred as a result of racial prejudice throughout the centuries) are themselves not motivated by some kind of mental illness, but are sane and rational acts. If you really believe that racism is sane and rational, perhaps it's you that needs to visit a psychiatrist.

So, tell us, how have you made the diagnosis that what this man did is a sane, rational act? And if it is, are the rest of us collectively insane, or what?

The church bombers in Alabama were racist terrorists, that had a poltical, and idealogical agenda. AND they were supported by the rest of the racist bastrds that lived in Alabama.

This guy was a lone nut, and NO ONE supports what he did.

All men don't support killing women, like the racists of th south supported institutionalized racism....
