Maf54 (Ex-Rep. Foley) Still Lurking Around and on-line today |
|
Scandalized former Congressman Foley is still signing on to the internet under the screen name maf54. Maf54 is the instant message screen name Foley used to have sexually explicit "chats" with underage male Pages. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2006/10/03/maf54-exrep-foley-sti_n_30826.html

but I know my computer automatically fills in my AIM password for me (you can also set it so that it automatically signs you in). It could be anyone on his computer. Who knows, though? I certainly hope he doesn't have access to the Internet, wherever he is.

and the huffington post just interfered with the investigation.
This was not newsworthy and they shouldn't have posted it. While we are obsessing on every little aspect you have Rove planning a counter attack.
I wish we knew how to fight smarter.

9. And just who would the FBI be trying to catch using Foley's screen name |
|
Investigative reporters interfering with an investigation?
Rounding up victims, are they?
Seems the FBI has some smart people and can monitor the Internets without using Foley's screen name. Now, Foley, on the other hand...

16. Interfered with an investigation? |
|
That's a wreckless accusation. The didn't reveal any privileged or secret information.
I hate to be a jerk, but you shouldn't accuse organizations who actually dare to do investigative journalism of interfering with FBI investigations unless they actually do interfere with FBI investigations.

13. No ella - not to you. |
|
Not to you.
I think people need to ask, why in the world would Mark Foley still use his username after such a incriminating fiasco?
It makes no sense.
To call MORE attention to himself? I doubt it.
Sounds fishy at the least.
Someone else mentioned that its probably a guise/damage control for Republicans some how to try and claim that there is someone ELSE was using this username and it was not Mark Foley who wrote those emails. Its another blame game attempt in other words.
Who knows, but considering how power abusers work, and the fact they are now trying to blame everyone else but the perpetrator, it makes sense. Its what they have proven to do time after time - scapegoat someone else for their offenses and crimes. Its what they do. They try to scapegoat and blame everyone else for their own actions.

if your internet provider/connection allows for buddy lists - why not add Maf54 to it.. one way to keep tabs on him.. Maf54 will just pop up on the list when he's on, you don't have to talk to him or anything

The screensave you posted doesn't look anything like AOL's Buddy List and it doesn't look anything like their "locate buddy" window.
