While Republicans rape kids, Fundies scream about... Cable Television!
The Internets are a series of tubes... and the Fundies have access to those tubes.

Here is an internet sent to me by The Parents Television Council-- also known as Christians who can't work the Parental Controls on their cable box. You will know them by their VCRs (which are always blinking 12:00):

Today, they are complaining about the show Nip/Tuck... carried by Fox.

Two things we can agree about with the fundies:

1) Fox Sucks
2) We don't want to pay for certain channels we hate-- for example, Fox "News" and Trinity Broadcasting Network

Write to Your Congressman and Demand Cable Choice Now!

WARNING: THIS E-MAIL CONTAINS DESCRIPTIONS OF EXPLICIT CONTENT
Cable subscribers everywhere should be outraged and demand to know why they are being forced to subsidize bestiality with their cable bills. Yes, you heard me right: bestiality, where a person engages in sexual activity with an animal. And if you subscribe to cable or satellite TV so you can watch ESPN or History Channel or CNN or Fox News, then you helped pay for that disgusting content. That's why we urgently need you to respond to this call-to-action. Please take a moment today to write to your Congressman and Senators and demand Cable Choice.

Go to www.capwiz.com/parentstv/issues/alert/?alertid=9069271 to send your letter today.

If you are a cable subscriber, part of your bill helps pay for the programming on the FX network, including the outrageously offensive Nip/Tuck.

Over the past three years, the creators of Nip/Tuck have devised some of the most disgusting and disturbing storylines imaginable. Episodes have included themes of incest, pedophilia, necrophilia, rape and more. Just three episodes into this season, Nip/Tuck has reached new depths of depravity with a storyline about a woman who had sex with her dog while her husband was serving in Iraq.

I will spare you the graphic details, but if you can stomach it, a summary of the episode is available at www.parentstv.org/ptc/campaigns/NipTuck/NT0926.htm. Even if you think you will be offended, you should read it -- just so you fully understand exactly what you are being forced to pay for with your cable bill.

FX is part of most cable subscriber's expanded basic package, which means this scene of stomach-turning depravity was available to the children in over 75% of US households. That means that some 80 million children might have been exposed to this filth.

If you are fed-up with having to pay for programming that offends your conscience and assaults your values... or if you are fed-up with being forced to pay for cable channels you don't want just to gain access to the few channels you do want -- then please, take action today.

Just go to www.capwiz.com/parentstv/issues/alert/?alertid=9069271 to send a letter to your representatives in Congress and the Senate. A copy of your letter will also be sent to the Federal Communications Commission and to the sponsors of this disgusting episode.

After you send your letter, please forward this note to everyone you know and ask them to take action, too.

I'm sure you'll agree that this kind of material should not be forced onto families, nor should families be forced to pay for it. And advertisers should be held accountable for sponsoring it. That's why we so urgently need your help.

With deepest gratitude,

Tim Winter

Executive Director
Parents Television Council

4. I wonder if the Nip/Tuck episode is about Neal Horsley?
More (and More) on the Mule-Fucker
| posted by Shakespeare's Sister | Thursday, May 19, 2005 | permalink |

A week ago, Neal “Mule-Fucker” Horsley, rabid gay-hater and abortion opponent who famously posts the names and addresses of abortionists on his website, appeared again on Alan Colmes’ radio show to defend and clarify his statements about having had sex with a mule when he was a kid:

It was a natural occurrence, he said, like that of a mutt that will hump everything warm and wet in sight. He maintained that he did not rape the mule. Horsley claimed that the mule consented and was a willing consultant in this match due to the fact that the mule was clearly a whore for accepting the gift of an ear of corn for the sexual act. Now if you are doing a double take on that piece of information, I should advise you, he really said it.

Mr. Horsley stated that it is logical and natural to engage in bestiality in today's world, comparing it to consenting gay sex. Mule-man sex is natural, and man-man sex is natural but not normal. He compared it to the paradigm of a dog humping a leg or anything it can find. All men are mutts (well DUH!) when it comes to their sexuality, The mule was just a matter of convenience for him, but it was just one mule. And I'll quote Alan on this one "At least you were a monogamist".

Alan continued the question with "if it were a washing machine would you have sexual intercourse with it?"

Horsley replied, paraphrasing, "I hadn't thought about it, but I would have had sex with anything wet and warm and moved."

At this time all I could think was sending out an APB warning people to lock up their washing appliances tonight.

2. There's some very loving lingering over details in Tim Winter's email.
I swear, this stuff acts as soft porn for these people. They just can't stop talking, in detail, about all the things they claim to find so shocking. A big old "eww!" shout out to Tim and his followers.

3. My Cable Choice letter to Congress
I am disgusted to learn that I am being forced to help pay for bigotry, hatred and ignorance by subsidizing The 700 Club, Trinity Broadcasting Network, and other examples of un-American pseudo-Christian filth.

It is outrageous that this kind of material is airing on
television. Fox "news" is not my choice, and I don't want it coming into my home. But it is inexcusable for the cable industry to force me to pay for this content with my monthly cable subscription.

The solution is so simple, but so far Congress has done nothing but appease the deep-pocketed cable industry. What about consumers' rights?

Give us cable choice.

Offering parents the ability to choose the channels they want, and to pay only for those channels, puts power back in the hands of the consumer, of parents, and forces the producers of religious hate-mongering and The Christian Taliban to fund their own programing.

It is the only fair solution. Why should I be forced to pay for programming that insults my intelligence and assaults my values just to gain access to a handful of channels I can watch with my family? Why should so-called "Christians" be allowed to force their lifestyle choice down my throat on my dime?

The Religious Broadcast Industry has been carried on the backs of American consumers long enough. It is time for this extortion to end.

TV Indecency Battle Pits Evangelical Christians Against Christian Cable Stations
Washington Post/Religion News Service | Piet Levy | Posted June 10, 2006 12:40 PM

READ MORE: Pat Robertson

Evangelical Christians are on the front lines in the battle over indecency on cable television, calling for a pick-and-choose pricing plan that would allow viewers to keep certain channels out of their homes.

But on the opposite end of the battlefield is an opponent familiar to and even respected by evangelicals: Christian cable stations.

The fear among Christian broadcasters is that a proposal to allow consumers to reject MTV or Comedy Central would also allow them to drop the Trinity Broadcasting Network or Pat Robertson's Christian Broadcasting Network. Cutting off that access could hurt religious broadcasters.

9. Don't say that. I WANT the Fundies at home, glued to their TV
At least it keeps them off the streets and out of our hair.

We need 24 hours a day of "Touched by an Angel" to lull them into a quiet, complacent state.
