Navy Seal killed in Ramadi yesterday

The Department of Defense announced Oct. 2 the death of a Sailor who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael A. Monsoor, 25, of Garden Grove, Calif., died Sept. 29 while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Ramadi, Iraq.

Monsoor was a SEAL (Sea, Air, Land) assigned to a West-Coast based command

WTF?!This is insanity.We are so short-handed we are sending Navy Seals to the middle of the desert?

1. It isn't as crazy as it sounds. They're not UDTs...

but having sailors get three days instruction with firearms, and then have them be security for convoys is INSANITY.

2. The SEALs were there under Task Force 121 when I was in

Ramadi and Fallujah. It is a realignment of the SOF for use in our Glorious Wars of Freedom!!! But don't worry those SEALs get plenty of trigger time in Columbia against the FARC in our War down there...
