Has ABC made amends for past actions?
Edited on Tue Oct-03-06 01:20 PM by Texas Explorer
I was just wondering if ABC has done enough with the Foley thing for you to forgive them?

Personally, I feel they have motives for everything they do. So, I will continue to miss the only show on their network I watched, Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

On edit: spelling in subject line

4. Just had this conversation at lunch today.
I mentioned I wasn't watching Desperate Housewives this season due to my distrust and boycott of all things ABC/Disney, etc.

Someone said ABC had made up for it by outing Foley.

I'm not sure that's enough. At any rate, ABC/Disney/Lifetime/ESPN, etc. are off limits in my house for now. We will not support a corporate conglomeration who attempts to influence the political front in America by airing lies and misinformation. Especially after they were called to task on it.

The reporter who broke the Foley story was simply doing his job. Networks should be fair and right down the middle. Period. If a Democratic Representative was a pervert, I would expect ABC and others to report it. It will be a long time before ABC can be forgiven, in my opinion. That being said, I will continue to watch some college football on that network, but nothing else.

7. Wait for the fat lady on Nov. 7
It's too early to tell what the "Path to 9/11" network is really up to.

10. No way...
the networks share responsibility for covering up, and mis-stating the dirty deeds of our government. News my ass.

11. Maybe it was us getting on their case,or maybe this is a Disney
publicity nightmare, that they need to stand tough on. Either way it rids Congress of a predator. That helps. Now those who enabled this sicko to continue to prey on these kids must be rooted out and kicked out immediately.

program when it comes to ABC. Anything put out by their entertainment arm, including anything by Disney is still taboo with me.

Edited to add clarity.

14. News and entertainment are different divisions
The lines are blurring, but this is a different bunch, and they were unhappy with that stupid film too.
