Cutting and Running implies not being willing to fight for what is right. Let's review the Republicans and how willing they are to fight for what is right:

Torture bill

Republicans and this Administration cut and run on the poor and the economy:
Lowered taxes on the very rich and cut programs for the needy.
Screwed the elderly over in Medicare reform.
Are running up deficits our grandchildren will have to pay back.


Republicans and this Administration cut and run from our troops:
Troops are not sufficiently protect with body armor
Troops are not sufficiently protected in vehicles.
Troops families are getting benefits cut
Troops are being held longer than their tour of duty and being brought back multiple times.
Ignore Generals who disagree with policy even though they’re the ones with the war experience.

Republicans and this Administration cut and run on homeland security:
Allowed New Orleans to die due to their incompetence and neglect.
No Port security per 9-11 commission
Indiana gets more money than New York????
Ignore 9-11 commission suggestions to increase national security.
Destroyed our standing in the world and destroyed relationships with our allies.

Supreme court appointees decided an election taking away the people’s will.
Repeatedly strike down bills for paper ballots and election reform
Interfered with voters ability to even cast votes in Ohio and Florida.

Foley may be the tip of the iceberg for they’re covering up sexual misbehavior.
Schools and education are a mess.
