Lieberman says calling for Hastert's resignation partisan!
Lieberman on Imus, speaking about Foley:

<snip>

Now to make it into a political question is wrong.

<snip>

So I don't know., if I were Hastert I would bring someone in quickly do the investigation and then somebody has got to be held accountable for what happened assuming that they had reason to know what was going on and they didn't act quickly enough because if they don't do something soon they are bleeding politically from it and they may not be convicted in a court of law but they are going to be convicted in the court of public opinion that will be registered on November seventh, so far I think they have handled it very badly."

http://www.dailykos.com/comments/2006/10/4/1963/77872/20#c20

So, um, Lieberman thinks Hastert should appoint someone to investigate...Hastert...otherwise the Repugs will lose in November?

The way he's talking is remarkable...he talks as if he is one of them. He almost seems concerned that they are "bleeding politically".

Edited on Wed Oct-04-06 07:22 PM by ikojo
keep check on a pedophile is partisan but supporting a partisan attack on the president, who is of your party, is bi partisan?

Oy vey! Did this man NOT read the Yom Kippur Machzor on Monday? I have an Artscroll Machzor should Reb LIEberman need to avail himself of one.

Since when is PARTISAN a bad word? Why is it such a BAD THING, Rabbi Yosef, to SUPPORT YOUR PARTY?

12. Ye Gods! I forgot about that..lieman's big
santimonious call for Clinton's impeachment and no hastert doesn't need to resign because he was involved in a coverup of mark foley's acting on his rapacious lecherous desires.

17. There goes Holy Joe's reelection bid and perhaps with it any bite...
...he might've taken out of the Dem ticket in Connecticut. I would hope that many conservative voters that would have voted for "independant" Lieberman won't look kindly on someone supporting a man who covered for Foley.

22. I'm really fed up with this idiot (rant)
Edited on Wed Oct-04-06 07:46 PM by Jack Rabbit
And I do mean idiot.

No, it's not because he's been wrong, wrong, wrong about the invasion and occupation of Iraq from the start. It's not that he's been a treacherous enabler of the fascist Bush regime. It's not that he's willing to sell civil liberties and human rights down the river for a failed and fraudulent anti-terror policy.

Although those are reasons enough to toss him out of the senate on his ear.

It's that he's more afraid of being called a "partisan" than he is about doing the right thing.

That is just stupid.

There, now I feel better.

Funny, you'd think someone who supports Democratic ideals and candidates wouldn't be worried about that kind of thing.

But then, we ARE talking about lieberman the betrayer, so...
