I want to go to Bush's 20 million $ Iraq-war party... |
|
Jack Cafferty explained tonight that the Republicans are planning a big bash. Twenty millions dollars is being spent on a lavish party--to celebrate victory in Iraq.
Jack was not happy about this. Neither am I. Most of the letters to Jack were people who were infuriated and disgusted.
I pledge this, right here, right now:
If the Republicans throw a $20 million festival of insanity with tax-payer money, I will be in Washington, DC that day protesting this unAmerican, disrespectful, insensitive sham. I will dress up as a flag-draped coffin and carry a sign that says, "How can you celebrate my death?"
I've had it with these perverse band of renegade thugs and their revolting actions.
I will be there for this party and I will peacefully protest their absurdity, their glaring self absorption and their unAmerican, sick state of oblivion.
Anyone want to join me?

If the Republicans are going to be THIS absurd--then we can be just as outrageous and boisterous.
I love your idea of wearing a flight suit and a "Mission Accomplished" banner.
I think everyone should come as their favorite "bushism". People could dress as the missing WMD. It wouldn't be difficult to make an aluminum tube costume. Someone could fashion a mobile weapons lab out of a cardboard box. With dry ice, someone could make a "mushroom cloud".
People could carry big banners that scream out all of the BushCo lies and inane comments. Can't you imagine a glimmering sea of "We're making progress!"..."We're turning a corner!"..."The insurgency is in its last throes!", "We'll be greeted as liberators!"..."Of course we know where the WMD is...they're in the North, South, East, and West!"..."The insurgency is just a few dead enders!".
Of course, many people would be dressed as commas!
The possibilities are endless.

2. I'll be there. Could anything be more cynical or revolting? |
|
Heard on Steph Miller this a.m., and she made the comment that the party would probably not happen for a very long time.

5. You're not missing anything... |

...but your senses have just been assaulted by BushCo absurdity.
Yep. BushCo and the Republicans have declared Iraq a huge success. And they're throwing a party to honor how great the Iraq war is. A $20 million party.
As a taxpaying citizen who is footing the bill for this absurd and sad display--I think I am entitled to at least one shrimp cocktail, don't you?
Let's all go. We'll turn it into a costume party.
