Thank God for Moyers

I was channel surfing and stumbled across Bill Moyers' new show: Moyers on America. What a FANTASTIC piece of journalism! The topic was Culture of Corruption, making it crystal clear how important campaign reform is. Ney, Abramoff, and DeLay are getting off sooooooooooooo easy when contrasted against how much money they stole--more than $40 million from four Native American tribes alone!

And DeLay had the NERVE to say something like "I hope they could see the light of Jesus in my smile" just before they snapped his mugshot! Shame on us for allowing them, mere mortals, get away with what they have gotten away with! Bastards!

9. I missed the beginning but saw most of the show.

I became nauseated when I believe Jack Abramoff said that when he grew up he wanted to be just like Tom Delay.

I swear, politics is nothing but a self-serving game to those people and I suspect that their "faith" is also.

The good news is that when most of us here "grow up", we want to be like Bill Moyers.

16. What a great piece - I was riveted

Moyers nailed Abramoff and the others. They looked like the most despicable people imaginable. It was heart breaking to see the segments on the Chinese women used as slave labor in the Marianas.

20. That was a fantastic show

All I needed to truly enjoy it was a 50lb heavy bag to punch. Man, Abramoff, Reed, and the 29 year old PR guy were such unbelievable scumbags I could barely contain my rage.

My wife saw it was comming up and got to watch it from the beginning. I had some things to attend to outside because of a strong storm that blew thru here so I only got to see about half of it.

I was stunned. It seemed like the most vicious kind of hit job smear piece. I kept thinking they were going to get sued for it. But it was ALL TRUE! That's the best part. You can't be any slimier than the truth.

I hadn't known the facts of the Abramoff scandal before this. This was riveting. It described it all down to the worst most disgusting details. This Abramoff thing was MUCH MUCH worse than I knew.
