I mean, after all, they are the competition. They should feast on the egregious errors and corruption of their competitor.

2. Why would they cover it?
It's not a news story.

Do news networks often cover graphical errors from competitors' broadcasts?

Were you expecting a "Breaking News" update, or a Situation Room segment devoted to it?

6. of course it's a news story
It was no graphical error. It was a deliberate attempt to misinform. In other words, propaganda.

7. Can you prove that?
Can news networks prove that?

When have other news networks ever covered Fox's "deliberate attempt to misinform"?

I mean, that's all Fox does. Deliberately attempt to misinform with propaganda. This is not news.

10. The show is taped hours ahead of broadcast
Edited on Fri Oct-06-06 01:45 AM by Syrinx

This didn't happen a single time. It was three times during that hour long show. Plus I saw a thread here last night about a discussion on another FNC show where the Foxbots were talking about whether the Democratic Senator Harry Reid was somehow responsible for the coverup.

You're right that Fox is always propaganda, but this is the most blatant example I've ever seen. I've never before seen them lie so blatantly about a basic checkable fact, such as the party affiliation of a member of congress.

16. Yes, the show was taped approx. 8 hours before broadcasting it, and
they repeated the show after FUX was informed about the error.

17. If it really was a "graphical error"
and, of course, that's possible, why did the story, when re-broadcast, not have the R? When the story ran again, twice, there was no indication of party affiliation.
So. Why the D when the story ran initially? Twice with the D?
That "graphical error" could have been changed to an R.
But. It wasn't.
And that is curious.
Besides, showing the wrong party affiliation on a major story which breaks before the mid-terms, a story as prurient as this one...and you don't think that's news?
You can bet if CNN showed a liberal caught in a scandal as an R, Faux News would be howling 24-7.
I think you're being disingenuous on this one.

3. Yep and Yep...
CNN picked on it all day...Wolfie had it in one of his monitors in the Situation Room.

Olbermann had it on MSNBC as did Scarborough...and, of course, The Daily Show couldn't let this one pass...nor did Colbert.

This is one of those things you let the competition speak for themselves. I've found tempted to tune in now and then to see who which Democrat are they trying to drag into this mess, how Clinton's penis destroyed the world, how we're about to be invaded by Iranian Isalmofascists and how goofy looking Amish people are. Oh...and aren't they still reporting on some missing white girl somewhere?

Thank goodness for Newshounds...all the juicy Faux bits and you don't have to slime your television. These people deserve combat pay.

5. If they cover it, it will be weak and scatter-shot at best
Corporate big-wigs are friends with each other. They may knock each other from time to time, but when it comes to the bottom line, they are all on the same page, and when it comes to people, they would rather they remain poorly informed.

18. This is why, again, I think we should organize and go after the cable
companies which carry this trash. It is not a "news" service - it's a political propaganda station and just as bad as anything a fascist regime would do. The cable companies are still regulated in the marketplace...are they not? There is no reason why we shouldn't gather a petition and start demanding they be removed from the airwaves because Fox is of no VALUE TO THE AMERICAN public. Period. It simply has no value.
