2. I turned it.
I remember in August 2004, during the infamous Plame Threads, that I said there were behind-the-scenes efforts to bring him into a position in the Bush2 administration. I had thought Cheney would be retiring for "health reasons," and that Baker would take his position. He strikes me as the W. Averell Harriman of this era.

that bold...so "in your face?" What are Dems to think about this?

I find it frightening. Any more thoughts H20?

Perhaps leadership Dems are very happy with this. Someone has to steer the ship off the rocks?

8. Baker only comes out
when things are really bad.

Otherwise he prefers to stay out of the spotlight. It makes it easier to do his fixing work.

The idea of Baker and Kissinger still in control is a very scary thing. Poppy Bush sure knows how to pick 'em.

But when he chortled that he spent Korea as a Marine "fighting on the (French) Riviera" along with sL-IMUS being a bugler in the Marines, the whole t.v. went CLICK!!!1
