Attorney identifies Oklahoman referred to in Foley case

Enid attorney Stephen Jones confirmed Thursday that he is representing <name removed>, 21, a U.S. House page who is now working in the gubernatorial campaign of U.S. Rep. Ernest Istook.

The attorney would not say whether <name removed> may be involved in the scandal regarding former U.S. Rep. Mark Foley.

But Jones said, "It is my understanding there is both a Justice Department interest in this matter and also the House of Representatives Ethics Committee is interested.

...

Istook issued a statement to the media Wednesday night saying, "It came as a compete surprise to learn (Wednesday) morning that one victim may be someone I know."

5. Who says it's a criminal attorney?
And I can see why he hired the guy...

http://www.stephenjoneslaw.com/
Stephen Jones and his team of litigators, experts and support staff will take on anybody.

They have no fear. As managing partner of the law firm of Jones, Otjen, Davis Mr. Jones focuses on complex matters involving Income Tax Fraud Defense, National Security Law, and White-Collar Crime Charges including RICO, stock fraud, mail fraud, money laundering, wiretapping and conspiracy.

He also works extensively with clients who are facing government bias or discrimination.

...

From the article cited in the OP...

But Jones said, "It is my understanding there is both a Justice Department interest in this matter and also the House of Representatives Ethics Committee is interested.

"My feeling is that the House will move forward with its investigation. Since Mr. Foley is no longer a member of the House, I don't know whether the (House) Ethics committee will ultimately end up looking at this, or whether the committee in charge of the program will do so."

...

The ex-page is apparently going to appear before either the Ethics committee or the committee in charge of the program as a witness, and he'd be a fool to not be represented by experienced counsel for that. I sure as hell wouldn't without a good attorney.

2. Why did you post the name of a potential underage victim?

3. This guy is not underage and wasn't when the e-mails and IMs in question
reached him. In 2003, he was 17 at the youngest. I don't know why he's involved in this, but he's the one who was "outed" by Wild Bill at Passionate America. He is one of the ones who received the most explicit IMs.

4. I removed the name, but this article is in the public domain
and I put "outed", in relation to the Wild Bill smear attempt...
