What Do You Think Of This 2008 Presidential Poll? |
|
PollingReport.Com IMO, looks like a bunch of DLCers, but what do I know? http://www.pollingreport.com/WH08dem.htm

1. H. Clinton, Kerry and Edwards |
|
all have high profiles and are popular in the Dem party. But I agree with those that say these polls are name recognition at this point, and things could change greatly once the actual race is underway. However, all three would be formidable candidates in my opinion in the primary.
I'm guessing all three of those names won't be in the running though.

2. Someone Else (1%) would get 85% on a DU poll. But what do I know? |

4. Almost completely DLC... |
|
you watch, we'll get another DLC rubber-chicken no-balls loser shoved down our throats again. When I see a list like that it feels sort of inevitable. It's our job to see it doesn't happen, I guess.

8. I don't think Hillary's gonna get the nomination if for no other reason |
|
than politics as a rule simply doesn't work in such a simplistic fashion.
There are always surprises, and I find it hard to believe the "favorite" now will end up getting the nomination years from now.

11. Clark was one of the finalists of the 2004 Dem primaries. It makes no |
|
sense that he's not included on this poll.

13. I have a hunch Clark will run again. |

He knows his core supporters want him to run again, and having watched Clark for some years now and knowing his past history, I get the sense that loyalty is a big deal to him.
Of course, there are other reason than that for him to run again, and in the end of course it's his decision and I'll respect whatever decision he makes.

but I don't think Hillary is running. I think she's not saying now for whatever reason. Maybe it's some top secret plan to make them think she is so they'll spend all their time and resources attacking her and then the real nominee can have clear and smooth sailing. Right now I'm going for Feingold, Warner or Kerry. I like Hillary as a person and all that but she needs to be more progessive for me right now after Bush. I remember reading sometime late last year in the Kerry forum that President Clinton met with Mark Warner secretly around Thanksgiving.

From what I've heard of other Kerrycrats Kerry hasn't been involved with the DLC since 2003. Warner is pro-choice and for LGBT rights so that makes him pretty progressive compared to others. Why no Feingold? :(
