Rice's Baghdad arrival delayed by 'indirect fire'

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - America's secretary of state is getting a first-hand idea of the kind of violence going on in Iraq.

Condoleezza Rice is in Baghdad. But the State Department says her military transport plane couldn't land for more than half-an-hour because of what a spokesman call "indirect fire." That came from either mortar rounds or rockets.

Are we still at war there? I've had the cable news on for days and haven't heard anything at all about Iraq. I browse through the web and find out that 21 of our soldiers have been killed!

Ordinarily, I'd just put a WTF! here and let it go. But then I realized a new trend is occuring with all the usual MSM tricks, that of deploying patently outright lies on TV without any kind of critical evaluation or editorial control. Examples are Foley morphing into a democratic party representative on Faux news and the use of completely fabricated and false terrorist videos on the news with no critical evaluation whatsoever.
